A true gem. The craftsmanship (wood detailing, stonework, seashell shower head) is evident throughout. It’s quiet, yet walkable to coffee and restaurants. The view is stunning. The pool is great. I was saddened to hear the large company that owns this property plans to tear it down to build something bigger. Likely another generic “hip,” overpriced concrete box with black aluminum windows and token wood accents—fine for a few years, but in 20 it will look tired. Guests will miss places with real character and craftsmanship. Please do not tear this work of art down. It’s inviting, thoughtfully designed, and clearly built by real people. It has soul. I loved it. I hope someone reconsiders. There are plenty of forgettable places to replace—this isn’t one of them. Preserve this gem. For other travelers—enjoy it while you can.

We booked this rental last minute and it completely exceeded our expectations. So beautiful and peaceful. The grounds and the room were clean and so lovely. We loved the dog Canelo and wished we could take him home! Found tons of sea glass at the little beach and grabbed espresso right next door many mornings.

The property is on the southern side of the island- so it's away from the 'party scene' which is what we were looking for although cabs to the 'down town' area of the island ranged from 200-100$ peso so it wasn't too bad. The place is located right on the ocean, amazing views 20 steps from your door. Private and secure entrance made us feel right at home. The pool was open and the 'self serve' kitchen/lounge was a nice addition. Rooms were nice and there's great breakfast places and restaurants within walking distance!
